First Level Checking of EVMs Begins in East Singhbhum Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections
The East Singhbhum district began its first level checking (FLC) of EVMs, ballot units, control units, and VVPAT on Tuesday, as per the Election Commission of India’s orders, in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections.
JAMSHEDPUR – In preparation for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the East Singhbhum district initiated its first level checking (FLC) of EVMs, ballot units, control units, and VVPAT on Tuesday, as directed by the Election Commission of India.
The verification process took place at the EVM warehouse in Jamshedpur Sadar block under the supervision of administrative and technical personnel.
Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, following Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri’s instructions, visited the site on the first day of inspection and provided necessary guidance to the personnel.
According to the deputy development commissioner, the FLC is set to be completed by August 15, with a team of engineers brought in for the technical review.
Stringent security measures have been implemented for the FLC process of EVMs at the location.
It has been prohibited to bring cellphones, cameras, calculators, or any other electronic devices inside the voting centre, stated the deputy election officer. In accordance with the Election Commission’s directives, a metal detector has been placed at the main gate and provisions for fire fighting and CCTV monitoring of FLC operations have been made.
