Ravi Shankar Shukla Meets Recovering Kiran Soon After Change of Guards

Succeeding Arava Rajkamal, Ravi Shankar Shukla takes charge as District Magistrate of Saraikela-Kharsawan, focuses on welfare programs and inspects EVM warehouse.

SERAIKELA – After an official changing of the guard at the District Headquarters office, new Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla and outgoing Deputy Commissioner Arava Rajkamal paid a visit to Kiran Mahato, a seven-year-old resident of Rajnagar Block.

After a month-long treatment at RIMS Ranchi and Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur, Kiran, who was suffering from hydropneumothorax, was reported to be in good health.

Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla inquired about Kiran’s health and education, assuring her of any future assistance she might need.

Both Shukla and Rajkamal presented Kiran with gifts, including teddy bear clothes, books, and chocolates, extending their best wishes for her health and academic future.

This heartfelt visit was attended by Project Officer Santona Jain, District Public Relations Officer Sunil Kumar Singh, District Education Officer Jitendra Kumar Sinha, among others.

In his first act as Deputy Commissioner, Shukla also conducted a routine inspection of the EVM warehouse at the Community Hall in Saraikela.

In accordance with the guidelines from the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, he assessed the security measures in place and the condition of the EVMs.

He also reviewed the functionality of the CCTV cameras in the building and stressed the importance of preserving the integrity of the EVMs for the democratic process.

In his farewell meeting, Arava Rajkamal reminisced about his two and a half years of service in the district, expressing gratitude to the locals for their support and urging cooperation for his successor, Shukla.

Earlier, Shukla was officially welcomed as the new District Magistrate of the Saraikela-Kharsawan district.

He said that his primary focus will be on the timely execution of central and state government schemes, aligning deserving individuals with welfare programs, and ensuring the efficient execution of development projects in the district.
