New SP of Dumka P S Kharwar Vows to Arrest Amarnath Killers Soon
Pitambar Singh Kharwar, new SP of Dumka, promises quick action on Jarmundi incident, pledges to strengthen police-public relationship.
DUMKA – The new Superintendent of Police in Dumka, Pitambar Singh Kharwar, gave a stern warning to criminals during his welcome ceremony in the Jharkhand sub-capital.
He assured that criminals would no longer be safe in Dumka and advised them to leave the area or face severe consequences.
On the same day the outgoing SP Amber Lakda was transferred, a brutal crime unfolded near the Jarmundi police station.
Earlier that day, criminals shot Jamshedpur gangster Amarnath Singh, who was seated at a nearby tea shop, resulting in his death.

It was reported that Singh had an ongoing feud with Ganesh Singh, another local gangster, but had come to Basukinath after worshiping in Deoghar.
Police investigations revealed that the criminals were surveying the area with a Bolero, a Swift Dzire, and an Apache bike before striking.
Despite the heavy police presence due to the Shravani Mela, the criminals managed to escape.
A bag dropped by one of the assailants was recovered by the police, which contained a weapon.
Based on a statement from one of Amarnath Singh’s friends, a case has been registered against Ganesh Singh and his accomplices at Jarmundi police station.
In his address, SP Kharwar took the Jarmundi incident as a challenge and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
He acknowledged that the deceased was also a criminal but emphasized that the law does not condone killings.
He pledged to strengthen the police-public relationship and prioritized the eradication of crime and Naxalism in the region.
