XLRI Jamshedpur Hosts ReEnvision Digital Transformation Conclave 2023

Leading minds gather at XLRI’s ReEnvision Conclave to discuss India’s Digital Public Infrastructure and Fintech, offering vital insights and inspiration.

JAMSHEDPUR – XLRI Jamshedpur, through the Conclave Committee of its PGDM (GM) Batch 2023-24, hosted the ReEnvision Digital Transformation Conclave on July 22, 2023.

The event brought together a diverse panel of banking, technology, and government professionals, including COOs, directors, founders, digital heads, managing directors, country heads, and general managers.

The collective expertise enriched discussions around India’s Digital Public Infrastructure and Fintech landscape.

Fr. S. George S.J., Director of XLRI Jamshedpur, and Dr. Sanjay Patro, Dean of Academics at XLRI Jamshedpur, offered welcoming remarks. They expressed their gratitude to the speakers and the committee members who meticulously planned the conclave.

Conclave Highlights

The conclave was enlightened by a keynote address from Paroma Chatterjee, CEO of Revolut India, who discussed her groundbreaking work in establishing the first mobile wallet license. This innovation has crucially enabled unbanked communities in flood-prone regions.

She further introduced the transformative "MAJA" concept, encompassing Mobility, Aadhar Card, Jandhan Bank Account, and the Account Aggregator system, which have substantially bolstered digital identity verification and business growth for small-scale suppliers.

Expert Panels Delve Into Fintech

A spirited panel discussion ensued on the topic, "Is Indian Fintech Ready to Conquer the World?" Key insights were offered by Lincy Therattil, Head of Rise India’s Open Innovation & Fintech Platform, Barclays; Vaibhav Tambe, founder and CEO of TransBnk; Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl, Chief Business Officer for Merchant Lending at BharatPe; and Gaurav Hazrati, Chief Strategy & Business Officer and Founding Member of Tata Digital. The discourse spanned the impact of innovative financial solutions, changing finance models, and India’s role in global fintech.

India’s Digital Economy – A Golden Age

In the final panel discussion, focusing on the "Indian Digital Economy – The Golden Age of India," various panelists shared their views. The panel comprised Vamsi Madhav, COO and Founding Member, Sahamati; Rajesh Ranjan, Partner and Global Head of BPS, Everest Group; Vaibhav Lodha, founder, FT Cash; Dr. Shilpa S. Santwani, professor, State Street; and Dr. Ramesh V. Darbha, GM and Country Head, Backbase for India.

Post-conclave

Following these insightful discussions, the winners of the ReEnvision 2023: The Digital Transformation Case Competition were announced. The competition attracted 68,146 impressions and 1,432 team entries, reflecting the spirit of creativity and excellence in the field of digital transformation.
