DC Vijaya Jadhav Launches Campaign to Promote Birth and Death Certificates Registration
Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav launches a month-long awareness campaign for registration of birth and death certificates in East Singhbhum, emphasizing its significance.
JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum: Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav has initiated an awareness campaign from July 14 to August 14, underlining the necessity of birth and death certificates.
The month-long initiative targets the rural communities where the importance of these crucial documents is often overlooked.
As a result, many residents are unable to benefit from various governmental schemes.
To combat this, two awareness chariots have been dispatched from the District Collectorate, tasked with illustrating the easy process of obtaining these certificates.
Officials connected with this initiative have been issued the required guidelines.
In instances of suspicious deaths, death certificates will be issued based on the post-mortem report.
Moreover, in the event of a home birth or before a woman reaches the hospital, birth certificates will be provided by the local MOIC or medical institution.
Simultaneously, the Deputy Development Commissioner had a virtual meeting with various officials including the Civil Surgeon, the Superintendent of MGM Hospital, and Block Development Officers to discuss the issuance of these documents.
Instructions were given to ensure the campaign’s success and for efficient execution of the tasks.
He informed that 38,500 birth registration forms and 11,000 form two (for death registration) have been distributed to the registration units from the District Statistics Office.
