DHANBAD – An RSS worker identified as Shankar Prasad was brutally murdered late Tuesday night in Dhanbad district. According to reports, the assailants fired six bullets at him.

This shocking incident took place in Duma village under the East Tundi police station area of the district. The police have since sent the body for postmortem and an investigation is underway.

Prasad, a social worker and member of the Gram Raksha Dal, was also known for his association with the Sangh for over three decades. Apart from serving as a village guard in Shahrapura, he was the District Working Head of the Dhanbad District Vanvasi Kalyan Kendra.
