Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel denies allegations in a cheque bounce case during a hearing in Ranchi Civil Court, considers mediation.
JAMSHEDPUR – Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel recently attended a hearing in the Ranchi Civil Court.
This is in relation to a case concerning cheque bounce.
Complying with a previous order, Patel presented herself physically in front of the court.
During the court proceedings, the allegations against Patel were laid out.
Despite the charges leveled against her, the actress denied all the claims.
In the midst of the hearing, the court posed a question about referring the matter to a mediation center.
Patel responded affirmatively to this suggestion.
She expressed her desire to go through the mediation process via her representative.
However, the court informed her that if she wished to pursue mediation, she must be present personally.
With this, Patel requested time for consideration and deliberation.
The hearing of Patel’s case was conducted by Judicial Magistrate D.N. Shukla in the Ranchi Civil Court.
Advocate Jayaprakash represented Patel during the argument.
Conversely, Advocate Smita Pathak argued on behalf of the complainant, Ajay Kumar Singh.
In 2018, Singh, a resident of the Argora police station area in Ranchi, filed a case against Patel.
He accused the Bollywood actress of defrauding him of two and a half kilo rupees under the pretext of making a film.
