Mother and Daughter Killed in Road Accident in Bodam, Jamshedpur
A tragic road accident near Bota village claims the lives of a mother and her toddler, as they were struck by a high-speed vehicle.
JAMSHEDPUR – A road accident took a tragic turn on Wednesday, as a mother and her three-year-old daughter were killed near the Jalandih bridge at Bota on the Tata-Patamda main road under Bodam police station.
A high-speed, uncontrolled vehicle collided with the scooty they were riding, flinging them onto the road.
The victims, 30-year-old Rukasana and her toddler, died on the spot, while Mo Ahmed, the husband and father, narrowly escaped.
The vehicle’s driver attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by local residents.
Angered by the incident, the villagers blocked the road, demanding justice.
Despite police efforts to calm the situation, the locals refused to budge, stating that road accidents at this location have become too frequent.
The family of the victims remains hesitant to receive the bodies as they await a resolution.
