Corona menace resurfaces in Jamshedpur, 10 from same family found positive

Jamshedpur: The city is once again bracing for a sudden spurt in coronavirus infection cases. On Saturday, several cases of corona have come to light. Positive reports of 10 out of 19 members of the same family in Sakchi created a sensation among administration echelons as the officials rushed to contain the pandemic spread.

As soon as the information was received, the district administration team sprung into action. The team has sealed the house and has got all the positive persons admitted to the isolation ward at MGM Hospital.

Corona pandemic is about to complete one year in the country. Vaccination process is on for the medical personnel as well as frontline workers.

After the central government directives, the state government too has given permission to open all the schools, institutes, cinema halls, parks etc in order to bring the economy back on track.

Meanwhile, the East Singhbhum district administration, which is waging a war against Corona, has once again suffered a major setback.

Suman Kumar Mandal, a government officer, said that in a house near Sakchi Bazar under Sakchi police station, a total of 19 members of a family live together. One person from the family had died of corona. All family members were tested by the Health Department team.

10 members of the family have been found corona positive. At present, all have been placed in the isolation ward of MGM Hospital by the team of the surveillance department.

The administration has advised the citizens to continue following government guidelines.
