Jugsalai Resident Dies in Tragic Road Collision in Dhatkidih, Wife Critical

A 62-year-old Jugsalai resident dies following a road accident in Dhatkidih, his wife battles for life in critical condition.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday evening, a 62-year-old man from Jugsalai lost his life in a devastating road accident.

His wife, who was also involved in the accident, is currently battling for her life in a critical state.

The couple, Ishwar Gupta and his wife Manju Gupta, were returning home from Kalibari on their Scooty when the incident occurred.

A Hero Honda Splendor vehicle, coming from the opposite direction, collided head-on with the couple’s vehicle.

Following the collision, both Ishwar and Manju sustained severe injuries.

Ishwar Gupta succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Tata Main Hospital (TMH).

His wife Manju is still admitted at the hospital, where her condition is reported as critical.

An FIR has been lodged against the driver of the Hero Honda Splendor at Bistupur police station.

Despite the Gupta family’s allegations that the driver has not been arrested due to pressure on the police, officials report that the driver was indeed taken into custody but was subsequently released.

Ishwar Gupta is survived by two children, one of whom is currently abroad.

The family plans to perform his last rites after his return.
