Water Connection Camp Set Up in Govindpur by Drinking Water and Sanitation Dept
Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation organizes a camp in Govindpur, aiming to establish household water connections and address residents’ water-related issues.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation established a camp in Govindpur’s Shesh Nagar to address issues related to water supply.
The event took place between 10 am and 3 pm, where applications were invited through Jal Sahiya.
The camp aimed at setting up a water tank, legalizing illegal connections, and establishing new connections in houses previously left out under the Govindpur water supply scheme.
The event also attended to households where water connections had been disconnected, and the water supply was yet to be restored.
Zilla Parishad member Dr. Paritosh Singh had previously raised several issues related to the water supply at the Deputy Commissioner’s Janata Darbar.
As a result, a three-level meeting involving the Drinking Water Department, Panchayat representatives, and the Deputy Commissioner was held.
Instructions were given to expedite the provision of water connections to the remaining houses, leading to the division of the Govindpur water supply scheme into five zones for smoother execution.
SDO Anuj Sinha, Junior Engineer Akash Jaiswal, District Council Member Dr. Paritosh Singh, Panchayat Committee Member Satveer Singh Bagga, Sangeeta Devi, Arya Devi Chief Ranjit Singh, Sonka Sardar, Rakhi Singh Sardar, Giribala Lohra, Shivlal Lohra, Upmukhiya Sangeeta Chowdhary, and Amarjeet, among others, were present at the camp.
