Demands for a Footbridge and Solutions to Water Logging: AJSU Delegation Meets Railway Assistant Engineer
An AJSU party delegation, led by District President Kanhaiya Singh, has demanded the construction of a foot overbridge in the Jugsalai-Bagbera area and an end to the water logging issue under the Pigment Gate culvert.
JAMSHEDPUR – A delegation from the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) party, led by District President Kanhaiya Singh, met with the Assistant Engineer of the Railways on Tuesday.
The delegation handed over a demand letter requesting the construction of a foot overbridge for pedestrians in the Jugsalai-Bagbera area and to address the water logging problem under the Pigment Gate culvert.
The accumulation of water under the culvert has led to the formation of large pits, increasing the risk of major accidents.
In the same vein, the delegation pointed out the severe condition of the station-Burmamines culvert, which they claim is in desperate need of repair.
The delegation also drew attention to the dilapidated condition of the road from Sankata Singh Petrol Pump Chowk to Chaibasa Bus Stand and requested immediate repair work.
In his conversation with the railway official, Kanhaiya Singh warned that the party would be compelled to start an agitation if their demands are not met.
The delegation included AJSU district secretary Arup Mallik, Kirtivas Mandal, district organization secretary Lalan Jha, student union president Hemant Pathak, Jugsalai Mandal executive president Praveen Prasad, vice president Swaroop Mallik, block secretary Sanjay Karwa, block general secretary Lalit Singh, and other workers.
