AJSU Demands Urgent Construction of PG Commerce Department Building

Delegation Led by Ranchi University President Abhishek Shukla Delivers Demand Letter to Raj Bhavan Secretariat

The All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) has demanded the immediate construction of the PG Commerce Department building in Morabadi, citing safety concerns and ongoing issues.

RANCHI – The PG Commerce Department building has been in a deteriorating state since 2017, posing risks to students, faculty, and staff.

Despite promises in 2017 from then Vice Chancellor Ramesh Kumar Pandey and a sanctioned budget of Rs 6 crore 65 lakh in 2022, construction has not commenced.

During the rainy season, severe waterlogging damages electrical equipment worth lakhs annually.

On Monday, a delegation from the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), led by Ranchi University President Abhishek Shukla, delivered a demand letter to the Raj Bhavan Secretariat, addressed to the Governor cum Chancellor of Jharkhand.

The delay has caused frustration among the PG Commerce Department community.

The letter emphasized the urgent need to construct the PG Commerce Department building in Morabadi.

The delegation included Rohit Chaudhary, Vikram Kumar Yadav, Manjeet Sahu, Priyanshu Sharma, Akash, Nayan, Vishal Kumar Yadav, and Sumit Kumar.

Chairman of the PG Commerce Department, Rohit Chaudhary, warned of possible protests if construction does not begin soon.

The community is pressing for immediate action to address the building’s dilapidated condition and ensure a safe learning environment.
