Over a hundred devotees participated in the chanting of Hanuman Chalisa at Shri Dharma Sastha Temple in Bistupur, appealing for good monsoon rains and human welfare.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Shri Dharma Sastha Temple in Bistupur echoed with the collective chanting of Shri Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesday.
The ritual was conducted for the welfare of humanity and to pray for good monsoon rains.
Over a hundred devotees participated in the event where the Hanuman Chalisa was chanted 108 times.
The event was inaugurated with a puja, conducted by the temple’s Pandit Akash Sharma.
Following the puja, the Maha Aarti of Shri Hanuman was performed.
Prasad was later distributed among the devotees by the members of the temple committee.
During this ritual, devotees offered 15 vada garlands to Hanuman ji.
The chanting of Hanuman Chalisa was led by Secretary KS Jayaraman, P Srinivasa, Siva Kumar, Joint Secretary, S Ramachandran, Radhakrishnan, Priest and many other committee members.
