JAMSHEDPUR – The worship of Maa Bipattarini was celebrated with great pomp in Jamshedpur and surrounding areas.

Thousands of devotees thronged various goddess sites located in the city, wishing for the happiness and prosperity of their families.

Maa Bipattarini is revered in the form of Maa Durga and Kali.

The ritual is performed after the completion of Rath Puja, typically on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

This year, the worship was postponed due to Ambubachi, leading to the closure of Goddess places.

Subsequently, worship resumed on Tuesday in Jamshedpur and surrounding areas with much fanfare.

Thirteen types of fruits are offered to the goddess during the worship, symbolizing a protective shield for the devotees.

The devotees then listen to a story narrated by the priest, who ties Suta in their hands as a form of divine protection.

The organizer of the temple committee stated that the puja attracts people of all castes and religions, especially speakers of Banga language, who participate in the ritual with devotion.

At Parsudih’s Sri Sri Dayamai Kali Temple, devotees sought blessings from Maa Vipattarini to be free from calamities.

Women fasted throughout the day and offered 13 types of sweets to the goddess.
