Crackdown on Banned Gutka Sale: JNAC Orders City-Wide Raids
A city-wide raid operation is underway on the orders of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) Special Officer, aiming to cease the sale of prohibited Gutka, especially around educational institutions.
JAMSHEDPUR – Following the directive of the Special Officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), a flying squad team from the department has launched a city-wide raid to curb the sale of banned Gutka.
The crackdown is particularly focused on areas surrounding schools and colleges where the illicit trade is known to take place.
Despite the prohibition on Gutka sales in the state, undercover operations persist.
In response, the department’s team conducted a successful operation in the Kadma and Sakchi area on Saturday, seizing a large quantity of Gutka.
As a result, fines were imposed on the offending shopkeepers, who were also instructed to cease the sales of Gutka.
The actions are part of the ongoing efforts to enforce the Gutka ban and ensure the safety of the community.
