JAMSHEDPUR – District Transport Officer (DTO) Dhananjay has issued an urgent order for the removal of a problematic speed breaker near Tata Steel’s Power House Gate No. 3 in Jugsalai.

The directive comes in response to a written complaint from the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighting significant health risks to commuters.

DTO Dhananjay has formally instructed Tata Steel UISL (formerly Jusco) MD Rituraj Sinha to immediately remove the hazardous speed breaker.

The official communication emphasizes the potential risk of spine injuries caused by the poorly constructed traffic calming measure.

This action underscores the local administration’s commitment to addressing public safety concerns raised by the business community.

The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s complaint detailed the issues faced by commuters due to the speed breaker’s design.

DTO’s swift response demonstrates the importance of community feedback in maintaining safe road infrastructure.

A copy of the removal order has been shared with Vijay Anand Moonka, President of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ensuring transparency in the process.

The incident highlights the need for proper planning and construction of traffic management structures in urban areas.
