Model Manvi Raj Alleges ‘Love Jihad’, Statement Recorded Under 164, Accuses Coaching Director Tanveer of Ranchi
Model Manvi Raj records statement in court, accusing coaching director Tanveer Akhtar of love jihad. Ranchi police have started investigations and are in search of the accused.
Ranchi – Model Manvi Raj, who has accused coaching director Tanveer Akhtar of "love jihad", has recorded her statement in court under Section 164. She has also undergone a medical examination as part of the investigation process.
Raj has expressed hope in obtaining justice and commended the Jharkhand Police for their full cooperation throughout the ordeal.
An FIR was registered at the Gonda police station, following Raj’s allegations.
According to the model, she was subjected to sexual exploitation and forced to convert by Akhtar, who is also known as Tanveer Khan and the director of Yash Models.
She has called upon the Jharkhand Police and the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for protection in a video, which has since gone viral.
After her appeal, Raj lodged an FIR against Tanveer at the Versova police station in Mumbai. The case was transferred to Ranchi’s Gonda police station, where the model was subsequently interviewed by a team of Ranchi police.
Raj has since returned to Ranchi, where she underwent a medical examination at Sadar Hospital and then got her statement recorded under Section 164 of Cr PC.
Tanveer Khan remains at large, and police are making efforts to locate and apprehend him.
