XLRI Jamshedpur Secures 9th Spot in India’s Top Ten Management Institutes

XLRI Jamshedpur ranks 9th in NIRF ranking of the country’s top ten management institutes, maintaining its reputation for high-quality education and exceptional placement performance.

JAMSHEDPUR – XLRI Jamshedpur has upheld its reputation as one of India’s top ten management institutes, clinching the 9th spot in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking.

However, compared to the previous year when it was ranked 8th, XLRI has slipped down one place this year.

Despite having a slightly higher score this year (70.75) compared to last year’s (69.67), the institute has ended up with a lower rank. Interestingly, in 2021, XLRI was also ranked 8th, while it stood 9th in 2020 and 7th in 2019.

Nevertheless, XLRI remains the only educational institution in Jharkhand to be ranked 9th in any category by NIRF.

This recognition is attributed to the institute’s commitment to high-quality education and its impressive performance in student placements.

According to the NIRF report, XLRI Jamshedpur demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the year.

During the 2021-22 session, out of 365 students, 351 secured placements with an average package of INR 30 lakh.

Moreover, XLRI provided consultancy services to a variety of companies and clients in 2021-22, earning INR 11.19 crores from these services.

A total of 484 consultancy projects were completed by the institute, including business consultancy for 53 major companies.

“IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore are in the first and second positions respectively in the management category,” the report added.

Commenting on this achievement, Fr S George SJ, Director of XLRI, stated that the entire XLRI family is proud to secure a place again among the country’s top ten management institutes.

He attributed this success to the talented students and exceptional faculty members.

He emphasized that the institute is committed to nurturing not only efficient managers but also responsible citizens.
