Jamshedpur: A delegation of the AJSU Party East Singhbhum District Committee met with the Jamshedpur Deputy Commissioner Tuesday morning and urged her to resolve the issue of frequent road traffic jams between Jugsalai and Bistupur.

The delegation raised the road jam issue from Jugsalai Over Bridge to Jugsalai police station especially.

A memorandum was submitted outlining the problem and requesting appropriate action.

Kanhaiya Singh, the district party president, explained the heavy jam at Jugsalai Gate.

He said that this daily congestion affects children’s school attendance and causes accidents.

He said that one recent accident led to a child’s death.

The AJSU Party requested several measures to alleviate the issue.

These include constructing a foot over bridge or road over bridge for Tata Steel laborers.

Restoring the iron railing between the gate and Jugsalai police station is also requested.

Installing lighting on the new road overbridge was suggested.

Constructing roundabouts at both ends of the new road overbridge was proposed.

Government assistance for the family of a recent accident victim was requested.

The AJSU Party expressed hopes for prompt action to prevent further tragedies and school absences.
