GAMHARIA – Several women and children were injured after a passenger auto overturned in the Ramchandrapur area under Gamharia police station on Saturday afternoon.

The accident occurred within the Gamharia थाना jurisdiction. The vehicle was carrying multiple passengers at the time.

According to witnesses, the auto lost control suddenly. It then rammed into a road divider.

Subsequently, the vehicle flipped over on the roadway. As a result, several women and children suffered injuries.

Soon after the crash, passersby gathered at the spot. Traffic slowed down briefly in the area.

Meanwhile, a traffic inspector who was approaching from Gamharia intervened. He coordinated with local residents for rescue efforts.

The injured passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital. Immediate medical assistance was arranged for them.

Eyewitnesses alleged driver negligence. They claimed he was using a mobile phone while driving.

During that moment, the auto reportedly veered off balance. Consequently, it collided with the divider and overturned.

Police reached the location after receiving information. The damaged auto was taken into custody.

Authorities have initiated an investigation. Further action will follow based on findings.

Similar incidents have been reported earlier, including auto overturn cases in nearby areas. Moreover, accidents such as drunk driving crash have raised safety concerns.

Earlier, a tragic auto collision on NH-33 had claimed a life. In addition, a fatal auto accident in Golmuri had intensified calls for enforcement.

Authorities have repeatedly urged drivers to avoid distractions. Road safety compliance remains under scrutiny.
