JAMSHEDPUR – A grand victory procession was taken out in Mango after newly elected Mayor Sudha Gupta secured a decisive mandate in the Mango Municipal Corporation.

Celebrations unfolded across the Mango civic body area. Supporters gathered in large numbers since morning.

Soon after the results, a massive rally moved through key roads. Party workers marched alongside enthusiastic residents.

Mayor Sudha Gupta stood in an open jeep. She waved at citizens and acknowledged greetings.

Meanwhile, supporters lined both sides of the streets. They raised slogans and showered flower petals.

The festive mood continued throughout the procession route. Police personnel monitored traffic movement closely.

Workers described the mandate as historic. They said it reflected public trust in leadership.

According to supporters, the victory symbolised hope for development. They called it a win for Mango’s aspirations.

Sudha Gupta thanked residents for their backing. She reiterated commitment to comprehensive civic growth.

Moreover, she assured focus on infrastructure and services. Cleanliness, roads and amenities would receive priority.

The mayoral contest had witnessed intense campaigning. Earlier, 16 nominations were filed for the post.

During scrutiny, three nominations were rejected by authorities.

Subsequently, election symbols were allotted to eligible candidates.

The race also saw Banita Sahay opening her campaign office.

Similarly, Kumkum Srivastava had entered the fray on development issues.

In addition, the contest drew attention after Congress suspended a rebel aspirant.

Earlier, the RJD demand for OBC reservation had intensified debate.

The campaign phase also included promises such as green Mango pledge in manifestos.

The celebratory march concluded peacefully. Supporters dispersed after the rally ended.
