Ranchi – The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Jharkhand and warned residents of a maximum risk of thunderclap. This shift in weather is expected to last until May 2.

The weather pattern in Jharkhand has taken an unexpected turn, bringing relief from the scorching heat that has plagued the region for the past few days.

Jharkhand’s skies have been cloudy since this morning, leading to a drop in temperature in many cities across the state.

Rain has been reported in several areas, and further rainfall is anticipated today.

In response to these developments, the Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert, urging caution.

In the event of lightning, the Meteorological Department has advised residents to avoid standing under trees and electric poles.

Strong surface winds, thunder, and lightning are expected in the southern and adjacent central parts of the state on April 29.

These areas include the three districts of the Kolhan division and Simdega in southern Jharkhand. Residents have been advised to stay away from fields and seek shelter in safe places.

The maximum temperature recorded in Ranchi today was 30.6 degrees Celsius.

According to Abhishek Anand, a meteorologist at the Ranchi Meteorological Center, the current weather pattern is likely to persist until May 2.

After that date, temperatures may change, but no major shifts in weather are expected in the next four to five days.

The Meteorological Department predicts the possibility of rain with thunder in some parts of the state on May 1, with cloudy conditions in Ranchi until then.
