In Jamshedpur, the temperature usually crosses 45 degrees Celsius during the summer season. The heat can cause people’s mouths to dry up, making them crave cold water.

During this season, the sale of earthen pots and jugs, also known as country fridges, usually increases.

These days, pitchers and jugs with taps are being sold in the market, with various earthenware designs available.

According to shopkeepers, these items are available in the market from Rs. 50 to Rs. 300 and are being sold in large numbers.

With the increasing temperatures, more and more people are turning to these indigenous fridges to beat the heat.

According to doctors, as the summer season approaches, it is essential to take precautions to protect oneself from the heat.
