India records 5,676 new cases of Covid-19, precaution urged
Desk: India recorded 5,676 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, as reported on Tuesday morning.
In response to the continuous increase in cases, a mock drill has been organized, and the second day of the drill is going on in the country on Tuesday.
Additionally, several states have re-implemented rules related to the coronavirus.
According to the latest update from the Health Ministry, India has administered 220.66 crore vaccine doses, including 95.21 crore second doses and 22.87 crore precautionary doses, under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
In the last 24 hours, 358 doses were administered.
Currently, India’s active caseload stands at 37,093, which is 0.08% of the total cases.
The country’s recovery rate is 98.73%, with 3,761 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 4,42,00,079.
The daily positivity rate is 2.88%, and the weekly positivity rate is 3.81%. In total, 92.30 crore tests have been conducted so far, with 1,96,796 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
As the number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise, the Indian government has urged citizens to take all necessary precautions and follow the guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.
