Kudmi Leaders Chalk Out Strategy For ST Status

Jamshedpur: A meeting of prominent leaders of Kudmi community was held at Nirmal Guest House.

In this meeting, the demand for inclusion of Kudmi community in the list of Scheduled Tribes was reiterated.

A strategy was chalked out to speed up the movement for the demand of inclusion of Kudmi caste in the Scheduled Caste category.

Kudmi leader cum former MP Shailendra Mahato and Harmohan Mahato jointly presided over this meeting.

The Rail Roko Abhiyan and other agitations organized in the past were discussed in the meeting.

At the same time, the agitation and activities to be organised regarding this issue in the coming days were also discussed.

Kudmi leaders said in the meeting that under a political conspiracy, the Kudmi caste has been excluded from the tribal category and they will continue to agitate against it.

Kudmi community leader Harmohan Mahato said that in the coming days, a huge procession will be taken out in Jamshedpur also as a part of this movement. The people of the community will demand their rights, he added.
