Jamshedpur DC Vijaya Jadhav leads anti-encroachment drive in Sakchi

Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner of Jamshedpur Vijaya Jadhav Wednesday led an anti-encroachment drive in Sakchi herself and ensured that the encroachments made by many shopkeepers as well as vehicles parked on the roadside were cleared.

On Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner was seen leading the action from the front in Sakchi market.

The drive started from near Sakchi Patta Market, where vehicles were parked on the roads. Encroaching shops were were demolished and a number of vehicles were confiscated.

The administration has warned that if vehicles are parked on the roads in future, then action will be taken against the shopkeeper for this.

The administration has made it clear that such drives would continue in future too and a daily vigil would also be kept by the police.

On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Yadav was seen leading the anti-encroachment drive to remove the encroachers at Straight Mile Road in Sakchi.

Dhalbhum SDO Sandeep Meena, ADM Law and Order NK Lal, Incharge DSP Traffic Kamal Kishore, and JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar were present on the occasion.

The drive was aimed at containing crime and anti-social behavior as well as keeping the marketplace free of encroachment.

The following types of shops faced eviction: vegetable shops, fruit shops, tea stalls, snacks corners, hair cutting salons, and furniture shops.

District officials said they would clear the marketplace of any kind of encroachment.

The officials made it clear that ensuring safety of general public will remain their top priority even in future.

Many shopkeepers scurried to remove their wares as soon as the anti-encroachment drive was launched by the administration.
