Ranchi Bank of Baroda Senior Manager dies in Haryana, husband arrested

Ranchi: In a shocking development, Bank Of Baroda Ranchi Branch’s Senior Manager Shilpi Sonam has been found dead in suspicious conditions in Haryana. Her family members have filed an FIR and called it a murder. Her husband, who is a PO in Gramin Bank in Haryana, has been arrested.

According to information received, the deceased was working as a senior manager in Bank of Baroda, Upper Bazar, Ranchi. She died under suspicious circumstances in Bahadurgarh, Haryana.

Shilpi Sonam was a resident of Dhurva police station area. The family members of Shilpi Sonam have accused her husband of murder.

Deepak Kumar, the brother of deceased Shilpi Sonam, told the police that in the year 2014, Shilpi Sonam was married. Her husband is a Probationary Officer in Gramin Bank in Haryana.

Before marriage, Shilpi’s posted in Sitamarhi, but after marriage she got herself transferred to Haryana and she shifted with her husband.

While living there with her husband, Shilpi allegedly did not like her husband’s activities. She allegedly had told the family members that husband is an addict.

Shilpi Sonam allegedly also told her family members that her husband has an illicit relationship and she was troubled by this. She allegedly told the family that when she tried to dissuade him, he started torturing her physically and mentally.

Frustrated, Shilpi got herself transferred to Ranchi and was working here. After this her husband had started visiting Ranchi.

Family members told the police that Shilpi Sonam went to Haryana to meet her husband on the occasion of Teej. Since then the family members have not been able to contact her.

On Friday, Haryana Police called Deepak Kumar and informed him that his sister has died.

Her husband allegedly told the police that his wife Shilpi Sonam had committed suicide by hanging herself.

Haryana Police has arrested her husband in this case.

The brother of the deceased has alleged in the FIR that his sister Shilpi Sonam has been murdered and husband is presenting it as a case of suicide to suppress the matter. Shilpi’s brother Deepak Kumar has filed a case under section 302.
