Noamundi police launch Equipment Bank for poor students, win hearts

Chaibasa: Noamundi police have won hearts with their initiative of providing mobile phones and laptops to poor students. The police have opened an Equipment Bank for helping poor students. And their initiative has earned a lot of praise from local villagers.

The Equipment Bank is a brain child of the district police and the initiative is being led by officer-in-charge of Noamundi police station Rakesh Kumar.

He held a meeting with the local villagers and launched an Equipment Bank.

During this, Kiriburu SDPO Ajit Kumar Kujur was also present.

He said that on the initiative of the district police, equipment bank was started at Noamundi police station on Saturday.

He said that online studies depend on availability of equipments like mobile, laptop etc.

As these electronic equipments are essential these days for studies, students can pursue their study well only if they have access to such equipments.

He said that there are many students who are very brilliant in studies. But these students are not able to buy mobiles or laptops.

To help such students overcome thes problems, the district police has taken initiative by setting up equipment banks at the police station itself.

He said that any common citizen of the area can donate his old mobile or laptop for the use of such children.

These equipments would given over to needy students to help them in studies.

The SDPO Ajit Kumar Kujur said that if a person donates mobile, laptop equipment to the bank, then the necessary paperwork will be done immediately.

A copy will remain with the donor as receipt, so that the donor does not face any kind of problem in future.

Those who attended the meeting included Anwar Khan, Vijay Prasad, Purshottam Agarwal, Subir Pan, Nanku Gupta and others.
