Tata Steel’s AGM on Wednesday on virtual platform
All company VPs, TWU president, Dy president and GS to attend AGM
Jamshedpur: The annual general meeting of Tata Steel will be held in Mumbai on a virtual platform from 3:00 pm on 30th June, Wednesday.
All the company VPs, the President of Tata Workers Union Sanjeev Chaudhary, Deputy President Shailesh Singh, General Secretary Satish Singh, President of many other unions and the State President of INTUC Rakeshwar Pandey and some senior labor leaders will join in.
In the AGM, details about future plans of the company is expected to be revealed to the shareholders and yearly results and audited financial statements would also be tabled and discussed.
Along with this, approval is also likely to be sought for the extension of tenure of some directors.
The company is likely to announce a dividend of Rs 25 per share to shareholders for the year 2021.
An Annual report will also be released. The report gives details about the employees and the current status of the company.
According to the annual report, the productivity of the company’s employees has increased to 745 tonnes per employee per annum.
While the loss time injury has also come down to 95.
An AGM is a statutory requirement for all Indian companies. It is held to have an interaction between the management and the shareholders of the company.
According to the Companies Act, 2013 it is compulsory to hold an annual general meeting to discuss the yearly results, auditor’s appointment and other important subjects.
A company is expected to follow the procedures under the Companies Act, 2013 to conduct the AGM.
