Minor son of a fish seller injured in road accident in Gamharia
Health Minister’s team helps in treatment
Jamshedpur: 10-year-old Ishwar Poivorto was seriously injured in a road accident after he was hit by a speeding car Thursday. Injured Ishwar Poivorto was rushed to MGMCH by the locals. He is son of a poor fish seller and lives in a bustee behind Mangalam Tower in Gamharia. He was brought to the hospital on an ambulance and is still in a critical condition.
A team of doctors advised the family to get a CT Scan done. However, the poor family did not have enough money to pay for it.
The news about the critical condition of the minor child and inability of the family to pay for costly medical tests reached Rajesh Bahadur and J C Mahanty, who are members of the Health Minister Banna Gupta’s team for MGMCH affairs. The duo got the CT Scan of the child done in no time and the child is now undergoing treatment in MGMCH.
Rajesh Bahadur, in-charge, MGMCH Team of Health Minister Banna Gupta said that Rs. 10 lakh have been provided to the hospital by the minister for helping the poor in treatment.
He said that Ishwar Poivorto too is being treated with the help of this aid. If needed, he said, the child would be referred to a higher centre for better treatment.
The team that helped the child included Rajesh Bahadur, J C Mahanty, Prabhat Thakur and Amit Prasad too.
