8 days and no corona death in Jamshedpur, 6 fresh cases on Sunday
Jamshedpur: The city of Jamshedpur has passed 8 days on the trot without any loss of life due to coronavirus. The total death toll due to the virus remains at 375.
According to official data, 6 new cases have been detected in East Singhbhum district taking the total number of infections to 17,972. On the other hand, 16 patients have been cured and discharged. The total number of cured persons in the district has now reached 17,501.
For now, the district has only 96 active cases.
Till date, the district has tested 5,12,120 samples, out of which 4,94,148 samples have tested negative, while 17,972 have tested positive.
The recovery rate in the district has reached 97.41%, while the death rate remains at 2.09%. The positivity rate for the district till Saturday was 3.51%.
East Singhbhum is still the worst-affected district in Jharkhand, although lately it has not been reporting too many fatalities due to the pandemic.
