City police solve Mango Vishnu Bhandar theft case, arrest 2 persons

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur police have solved the case relating to theft in Vishnu Bhandar situated behind Rajasthan Bhawan under the jurisdiction of Mango police station on January 7, 2021. The police have arrested 2 hardened history-sheeters and sent them to judicial custody.

The police have also recovered 2 mobile phones, one feature mobile phone, 9,030 rupees in cash, one Passion Pro bile, one torch, one wooden cap, one jacket, one iron implement, one white shoe, one jacket and an old note of Rs. 1000.

The police said that more than 9 cases have already been filed and are pending in different police stations of Jamshedpur against these two arrested accused, while 18 cases are pending in the courts.

The SSP of Jamshedpur Dr. M Tamil Vanan said that the two arrested accused are Vishwakarma Ram and Surendra Mandal alias Shatru and both are hardened history-shelters.

He said that Vishwakarma had left for Raniganj near Burdwan after the theft. He was brought to Jamshedpur for interrogation. He confessed to have carried out the theft.

The entire theft incident was captured by a CCTV camera. The CCTV shots show that the two broke the lock of the shop shutter and then Vishwakarma Ram entered the shop, while Surendra was keeping a watch outside.

The incident had occurred early morning of January 7.

The city police are viewing the arrest of these two accused as a big achievement.
