35th day of no corona death in Jamshedpur, 18 new positive cases

Jamshedpur: There has been no corona-related death in East Singhbhum district on Tuesday. This was 35th consecutive day of nil corona death in the city of Jamshedpur as well as the East Singhbhum district.

East Singhbhum has performed well on the corona front as it has managed to reach a stage where deaths have been contained well, even while positive cases continue to be detected albeit in lesser numbers compared to a few weeks back.

As per official data, 18 more positive coronavirus cases have been detected in the district taking the total number of infections to 17,824 in East Singhbhum.

On the other hand, 16 patients were cured and discharged from different hospitals and quarantine too, taking the total number of cured patients to 17,291.

For now, the district has only 159 positive cases of corona.

As per official data, till date 4,91,147 samples have been tested in the district, out of which 17,824 tested positive, while 4,73,323 tested negative.

On Tuesday, the recovery rate for East Singhbhum district has reached 97.11%, while the mortality rate has come down to 2.10%. The positivity rate for the district too has come down to 3.63%.
