JMM Alpsankhyak Morcha demands reservation for minorities

Jamshedpur: The Central Committee of JMM Alpsankhyak Morcha observed 28th International Minority Rights Day in JMM Office in Sakchi on Friday. The programme was presided over by Anwar Ali. Babar Khan was the chief guest, while Munawwar Hussain was the special guest of the programme.

In a meeting held during the programme, the different aspects of minority rights were discussed.

After the meeting, a delegation of Alpsankhyak Morcha submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister Hemant Soren through the Deputy Commissioner.

The memorandum demands implementation of the Sachhar Committee recommendations. It also demanded appropriate reservation for the minorities.

Later, the central general secretary of JMM Alpsankhyak Morcha Babar Khan said that the minorities are being deprived of their rights. Minorities should be given all their rights, he said. He urged the chief minister Hemant Soren to consider the demands of the minorities.
