Victory Run organised to commemorate 1971 war, soldiers honoured
Jamshedpur: Purva Sainik Sewa Parishad, East Singhbhum organised a Victory Run to commemorate India’s victory in 1971 war with Pakistan and to pay tributes to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in that war. The victory run started from P T Ground of Army Camp in C H Area, Jamshedpur.
The programme started with floral tributes to the statue of Bharat Mata. Later, the victory run was flagged off by Naib Subedar A K Pandey and the Sangh Chalak of RSS Abhay Samant.
Representatives of several social organisations of the city also participated in the programme. They included Arun Singh, president, Hindu Peeth, Manoj Singh, member, state executive of BJP, Rajiv Kumar Singh, BJP district treasurer, Vijay Tiwari, BJP Kishan Morcha Kolhan In-charge, Vinod Rai, BJP Mango Mandal president, Ravi Prakash Singh, president, Hindu Utsav Samity, Chintu Singh, vice-president, Hindu Utsav Samity, Anisha Sinha, BJ and Sachitanand Mishra.
Winners of different categories of participants were also honoured with prizes. Several soldiers were also honoured with shawls on this occasion.
Those who contributed to make the programme successful included Sushil Kumar Singh, Rajiv Ranjan, Dr. Kamal Shukla, Brij Kishore Singh and others.
