State BJP President Deepak Prakash tours Seraikela, meets party workers

Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash is on a tour of Kolhan region. He took reins of the party after BJP suffered a major setback in the Kolhan region in 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections. Now he is trying hard to rejuvenate the party in Kolhan.

During his Kolhan visit, Deepak Prakash reached Seraikela on Saturday. He held meetings with party workers of different levels and discussed with them all the mistakes that the party had made lately. He also reviewed the preparations for the next elections.

The workers of different outfits and units of BJP also met him.

Later, in his remark, Deepak Prakash said that there was a time when Kolhan was a stronghold for BJP. But, the party has lost its domination in the recent times.

However, he rejected the idea that internal squabbling was responsible for the party’s weak performance in Kolhan region. He said that there were no internal differences within the party. Instead all the party workers are united on the issue of state interest.

He advised the party workers to observe the birth anniversary of Rudra Pratap Sarangi, who is also known as the Bhism Pitamah of Kolhan.

Talking about the farmers’ agitation, he said that this is not a farmers’ agitation, but Congress party’s agitation. He sadi that leaving two states, the farmers of all other states are supporting the farm bills.

Describing the farm bills as being in favour of farmers, he said that Swaminathan Committee had recommended these changes. He said that when an all-party meeting was held over Farm amendment Bill 2020, even the chief ministers of the Congress-ruled states had supported it. However, he said, now the Congress leaders are politicking over the issue. He supported the farm bills.

Deepak Prakash has completed his Seraikela tour and now he would start his tour of Jamshedpur rural areas. From December 7. With this, he would complete his visit of Kolhan region.
