AAP workers sit on dharna at Sakchi to support agitating farmers

Jamshedpur: Aam Admi Party (AAP) workers and supporters today sat on a one-day dharna at Sakchi Gol Chakkar to oppose farm laws and in solidarity with the farmers agitation against the farm laws.

Despite several rounds of talks with the agitating farmers, there has been no breakthrough in the ongoing stalemate and the agitation still continues.

On Sunday, AAP workers and supporters sat on a one-day dharna to express solidarity with the agitating farmers. They shouted slogans against the union government and the farm laws and demanded that the laws be withdrawn immediately.

The former MLA of Ichagarh Arvind Singh also reached the dharna site to support the AAP dharna. He supported the agitating farmers and demanded that the union government withdraw the farm laws.

He said that the Parliament should have discussed all aspects of these laws thoroughly. However, he said, the union government has taken a unilateral decision on an issue which is related to public interest and this is not right.

Prem Singh, the Kolhan In-Charge of AAP, said that his party is supporting the farmers and will extend all co-operation. He also said that his party would ensure huge success of the Bharat Bandh called on December 8 by the farmers on the farm laws issue.
