One arrested for wife's suicide in Bhuiyandih

Jamshedpur: Sitaramdera police today arrested an accused in a dowry and abetment to suicide case. The accused Pinku Bhuiyan has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.

According to police sources, a newly-wed woman of Bhuiyadih Kanu Bhatta under the jurisdiction of Sitaramdera police station had allegedly committed suicide two days back. Her family members had accused her husband Pinku Bhuiyan of asking for dowry and abetting her to commit suicide.

According to sources, the couple had married in the court some four months back.

The family members of the deceased woman have accused Pinku Bhuiyan of harassing her for dowry and forcing her to commit suicide.

However, Pinku Bhuiyan, who has been arrested by the police, claimed that he had married her in court and this was not acceptable to the family members of the woman. They were not accepting her as his wife and this had made her depressed.
