Joe Biden next US president, declares media; but Trump yet to concede

Bengaluru: The mainstream media has already declared Joe Biden as the next President of United States of America. However, Donald Trump has not yet conceded defeat even while Biden was declared the president-elect.

Trump said: “We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: They do not want the truth to be exposed. The simple fact is this election is far from over.”

However, the mainstream media points out that the elections are over as the final votes will continue to be counted in several states, although that would not help Trump in any way.

It is not necessary for Trump to concede defeat, although that underlines a peaceful transfer of power to the incumbent.

If one goes by the mainstream media, Biden has won the necessary electoral votes to win the Presidency and it says that Joe Biden would be the president come January and Kamla Harris would be the vice-president.
