Hindus protest against ‘Love Jehad’, effigy of ‘love jehadis’ burnt at Sakchi
VHP and Bajrang Dal demand law to curb ‘targeting’ of Hindu girls
Jamshedpur: Hindus led by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal leaders, activists and supporters held a huge demonstration and protest against ‘love jehad’ cases in the country at Sakchi and burnt effigy of the perpetrators of ‘love jehad’.
During the demonstration, the workers of VHP and Bajrang Dal took out a foot march from JNAC Chowk to Sakchi Gol Chakkar. On reaching Sakchi Gol Chakkar, the demonstrators burnt the effigies of ‘love jehadis’.

Janardan Pandey, Secretary, VHP, Jamshedpur later said that Hindu girls are being targeted under a plan and are being deceived in the name of ‘love’ with a motive to convert them. He alleged that all this is being done under a plan and the targeted Hindu victim girls are either forced to convert or are killed.

Janardan Pandey urged the government to enact a law to curb ‘love jehad’ cases and send the people responsible for targeting, converting and killing innocent ‘Hindu girls’ to jail.
Those who took part in the foot march and the demonstration included Janardan Pandey, Bheem Yadav, Sanjita Sen, Jamuna Dubey, Bajrang Dal convenor Bhola Lohar, Gau Raksha Pramukh Anirudh Giri, Milan Pramukh, Pawan Kumar, Hareram Tiwary, Dwipal Biswas, Chandan Banerjee, Manoj Sharma, Sheetal Rajak, Ravi Jambudweep, Kanhaiya Pandey, Praveen Maurya, Saurav Pal, Harsh Yadav, Shishant Singh, Ram Poddar, Arvindar Kaur, Vandana, Ritik Srivastava, Amit Yadav, Gugul Singh, Jitu Thakur, Prince Rai, Vishal Yadav and hundreds of other VHP and Bajrang Dal activists and supporters.

Today’s demonstration was held in the wake of a sensational crime at Ballabhgarh in Faridabad in which two youths Tauseef and Rehan had shot dead a 20-year-old Hindu girl Nikita Tomar on Monday. Reports said that Tauseef wanted to ‘convert’ and ‘marry’ Nikita forcibly and had abducted her once even earlier. When she refused, he shot her dead in broad daylight. Both accused have been arrested by the police.

Several cases from different parts of the country have been reported and discussed in mainstream media as well as social media in recent times in which Hindu girls were first trapped in the name of ‘love affair’ and later were either forcibly converted, brutalised or killed.
