Land dispute between brother and sister turns violent in Sonari

Jamshedpur: A land dispute between a brother and a sister in Jhabri Bustee in Sonari turned into a violent clash. Both sides are accusing each other of attacking and assaulting with stones and rods. People from both sides have been injured. Police have admitted the injured into MGMCH for treatment.

According to information received, there was has been a land dispute between the two sides for some time. A written complaint in this connection was also filed with the police station.

On Wednesday, a dispute ensued over construction of a boundary. Both sides allegedly started pelting stones.

During the clashes, Mahendra Rajak, Dhruv Raj Kumar, Shweta Kumari and Tulsi Kumari from one side and Lalmani Devi, Pinki Devi and Puja Devi from the other side got injured.

The police arrived at the site and took the injured to MGMCH for treatment.

Tulsi Kumar, an injured person said that their land dispute is an old one. On Wednesday, she alleged, the other side broke their under construction wall. When opposed they allegedly started pelting stones. She alleged that Sonu Rajak attacked and injured her.

On the other hand Lalmani Devi, another injured from other side, said that she had given her land to her brother Mahendra Rajak for living there. But, now he was occupying her land too and was constructing a wall on her land. When opposed the other side assaulted them.

Both sides have lodged written complaint with Sonari police station.

The police are investigating the matter.
