Corona kills 5 more in city on Friday, total deaths 37, 105 new cases

Jamshedpur: Corona has killed 5 persons in the city on Friday taking the death toll to 37 in the city. Four persons have died in TMH, while one person died in MGMCH.

Those who died in TMH, included a 26-year-old youth from Kadma Bhatia Basti. He had a co-morbidity relating to kidney. The second fatality was a 61-year-old woman from Manifit, Telco. Third person who died was a 73-year-old man from Mango, fourth person who died was 58-year-old and was from Sidhgora Main Road. The fifth fatality was a 52-year-old woman of Jugsalai who succumbed to Corona complications in MGMCH.

Meanwhile, 105 more persons tested positive in the city on Friday. This included 11 employees of the Civil Court.

Meanwhile, 20 health workers of MGMCH along with doctors and nurses have been found positive.

The total number of infections in the city has now reached 1915 and is likely to cross the figure of 2000 within a couple of days. The total fatalities have now reached 37.

Earlier, it was reported that Corona has killed three more persons on Friday. However, two more persons died in TMH taking the tally to 5 and the total death tally for the city to 37.

The 26-year-old youth who died of Corona is the youngest adult person to have died of the disease. Earlier, a 10-month-old child had succumbed to the disease.
