Saryu Roy demands CBI probe into lawyer Prakash Yadav murder

Jamshedpur East MLA advises Raghuvar to show ‘self-restraint’

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur East MLA and former minister of Jharkhand Saryu Roy has demanded CBI enquiry into the killing of BJP leader and lawyer Prakash Yadav.

He also charged a prominent BJP leader of being a party to the case relating to sale and purchase of Adviasi land.

Saryu Roy also advised the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and BJP leader Raghuvar Das to show some self-restraint.

Defending the leader of his own party, whose name has cropped up in the case, said that a lawyer who was himself fighting a case of sale and purchase of Adivasi land can not be very clean.

He advised the BJP leaders to counsel the top leadership to show some self-restraint.

Tuesday night, a few criminals had killed lawyer and BJP leader Prakash Yadav gruesomely.

The family members had named a few BJP leaders as being involved in the case. The police have taken them into custody and are interrogating them.

Meanwhile, the former chief minister Raghuvar Das visited the house of slain leader to condole his death. He launched a scathing attack on the local MLA Saryu Roy.

Raghuvar Das alleged that Saryu Roy had won elections by using misinformation.

Meanwhile, Saryu Roy too held a press conference and launched a counter-attack on him.

He said that if anyone levels allegations at him, he would respond in kind.

He said that an impartial probe be ordered before levelling any allegation on anyone.

Saryu Roy charged Raghuvar Das with indulging in politicking over the advocate murder.

He also targeted his family members and said that they only spread fear through strong-arm tactics for the last 25 years by violating law.

He said that Raghuvar is not in a position to level allegations at others.

He also alleged that he was acting like a ‘land mafia’.
