Corona kills 4 in Jharkhand on Friday, State death tally now 42, new cases 291

Ranchi: Corona killed 4 more persons in Jharkhand on Friday taking the total death toll due to this viral disease in the state to 42.

On Friday, 291 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in the state taking the total infections to 5096. However, 64 persons were also cured and discharged from hospitals.

The total number of infections in the state have now reached 5096 with today’s 291 new cases. However, the number of active cases is only 2,473 as 2,577 persons have already been cured and discharged from hospitals in different districts of the state.

Out of the four deaths reported on Tuesday, one relates to East Singhbhum district where one 58-year-old man died in TMH, Jamshedpur. Another person has also died in another district in Jharkhand.
