Chaibasa Police Launches Awareness Drive with ‘Surrender Policy’ Pamphlets

Police Distribute 2000 Pamphlets in Rural Jharkhand for Awareness

The West Singhbhum Police’s initiative to distribute pamphlets on the ‘Surrender Policy’ aims to enhance awareness among rural residents.

CHAIBASA – In a significant community outreach effort, the Jharkhand Police, under the directives of Superintendent of Police P. Singhbhum Chaibasa, has initiated an awareness campaign regarding the ‘Surrender Policy of the Jharkhand Government.

The campaign, led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sadar Dilip Khalkho, involved the concerted efforts of several police officers including PU co-incharge of police station Sadar Praveen Kumar, Police Inspector Sadar Khurshid Alam, Police Inspector PCR Rajesh Tudu, and Police Station Incharge Muffasil Police Station Pawan Chandra Pathak.

A total of 2000 pamphlets were distributed in the weekly Mangla Haat market, a popular shopping destination for residents of rural areas.

The distribution targeted men, women, and shopkeepers, aiming to spread awareness about the policy.

The police officers, while handing out the pamphlets, also took the time to explain their contents to the villagers.

Local village heads, known as Munda and Dakuva, were encouraged to discuss the policy in village meetings, further spreading awareness.

Importantly, the pamphlet included the mobile numbers of all officials in Pt. Singhbhum Chaibasa, making it easier for any individual to contact a police officer without hesitation.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy to educate the rural population about government policies and to foster a stronger relationship between the police and the community.

By informing villagers about the Surrender Policy, the police aim to encourage individuals who might be involved in illegal activities to come forward and integrate back into society.

Police sources said that this approach demonstrates the police’s commitment to not only enforcing law and order but also engaging in community development and support.
