RJD Workers Cut Giant Cake, Sing Praises of Social Justice at Adityapur Auto Cluster Hall

SERAIKELA – RJD workers in Seraikela district marked the 79th birthday of party supremo and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday with a grand celebration at the Adityapur Auto Cluster auditorium, where a 79-pound cake was cut in his honour.
The programme was organised under the auspices of Lalu Vichar Kendra, Jharkhand Pradesh. Before the cake was cut, a portrait of Lalu Prasad Yadav was worshipped with tilak, aarti and floral offerings, as workers and supporters prayed for his long life and good health.
The event was led by Purendra Narayan Singh, convener of the Lalu Vichar Kendra and former state general secretary of the RJD. In his address, Singh described Lalu Prasad Yadav not merely as an individual but as an ideology of social justice.
Besides the cake-cutting ceremony, a quiz competition and a cultural programme were also organised at the event. A worker felicitation ceremony was held as well, recognising the contribution of party workers. Bhojpuri singer Rajesh Rasik Yadav performed at the event and added to the festive spirit.
A large number of RJD workers and supporters attended the birthday celebration. Purendra Narayan Singh is listed as the patron of the Lalu Vichar Kendra. Lalu Prasad Yadav, who has led the Rashtriya Janata Dal since founding it in 1997, has served as Chief Minister of Bihar and as Union Railway Minister. He is currently out on bail in fodder scam cases. The Seraikela district unit of the RJD has been expanding its organisational activities in recent months. The event saw active participation from across the Seraikela-Kharsawan region.
