JAMSHEDPUR – Sakchi witnessed the inauguration of ‘Vishwakarma Point’, a new initiative aimed at promoting local artisans and craftsmen.
District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri led the opening ceremony.
The initiative aligns with the state government’s guidelines to uplift the artistic talents in East Singhbhum district.
‘Vishwakarma Point’ is dedicated to showcasing and selling the works of local craftsmen, artists, and products created by Sakhi Didis.
During the inauguration, Mr.i Bhajantri visited various stalls, expressing his support and encouragement to the artisans and Sakhi Didis.
The local craftsmen, artists, and Sakhi Didis extended their gratitude to the Honorable Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, for this significant step.
Vishwakarma Point will feature a range of products including musical instruments, crafts, and daily needs items, all crafted by skilled local artisans.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the state government’s commitment to the social and economic upliftment of these artisans and craftsmen.
He noted that a lack of proper marketing platforms had previously hindered the visibility of locally made goods.
