Family Says Victim Sent Distress Message Before Death

JAMSHEDPUR – A young man was found dead under unclear circumstances in Golmuri’s Saraswati Nagar area, prompting a police investigation.

The deceased was identified as Francis Bakchi, known as Sonu.

Meanwhile, the incident occurred near Madan Chakki. The location falls under Golmuri police station.

Francis had been residing in a rented house. The property belonged to late Kameshwar Jha.

Moreover, local residents shared several details with investigators. Family members also provided information.

According to relatives, his marriage was being planned. The bride-to-be belonged to Karandeeh in Parsudih.

Earlier, he had reportedly been in another marital relationship. That relationship had later ended.

Furthermore, relatives said he faced financial difficulties recently. Wedding-related expenses had reportedly increased his worries.

According to local accounts, he discussed selling his vehicle. He believed it could help arrange funds.

Subsequently, he sold his Maruti Dzire. The vehicle was reportedly sold for about Rs 2 lakh.

Meanwhile, Francis had earlier worked with Airbase Logistics. Later, he joined BMW ISL Yard in Gamharia.

In addition, he is survived by a brother and sister. The family remained devastated after the incident.

Neighbours said he appeared distressed in recent months. They shared their observations with police.

Moreover, brother Robert Bakchi described a message received overnight. The message reportedly reached his sister around 2:30 am.

Robert said his brother wrote about personal difficulties. He also indicated an intention to end his life.

However, Robert said their conversations were infrequent. They usually communicated through calls or messages.

Police said the exact cause remained unclear. Investigators awaited the postmortem findings.

Furthermore, officers stated conclusions would follow detailed examination. The investigation continued at Golmuri police station.
