JAMSHEDPUR – Protesters demanded a national holiday on April 23 to honor Bhamashah’s legacy and submitted a formal memorandum to top authorities.

Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Teli Sahu Mahasabha gathered outside the district office. They raised slogans demanding official recognition of the occasion.

Meanwhile, the demonstration focused on declaring a nationwide holiday. The demand was linked to Bhamashah’s birth anniversary.

However, a delegation submitted a memorandum through the Deputy Commissioner. The document was addressed to the President and Prime Minister.

Moreover, the organization stated that Bhamashah’s contributions remain historically significant. Leaders described his role as unmatched in Indian history.

On the other hand, the president of the group emphasized public awareness. He said future generations must learn from Bhamashah’s sacrifice.

Meanwhile, protesters urged authorities to act quickly on the request. They described the issue as a matter of national pride.

In contrast, participants said the demand goes beyond one community. They called it a question of collective respect and heritage.

Furthermore, the protest drew attention in Jamshedpur as members gathered in large numbers. The event remained peaceful throughout the demonstration.
